The problem is I can enter an invalid password as many times as I like but I never see "Need to delete your vault?".
You need to enter 3 different incorrect passwords.
3 different incorrect pass words or the same incorrect password 3 times - doesn't make any difference. The prompt to delete the vault does not appear.
Are you using a local or online vault?
I just tried with my local vault by entering 3 different incorrect passwords and got the following prompt asking if I wanted to delete the vault.
I set it up some time ago but have not been using it. I really don't remember whether it was local or online.
So how do you tell the difference?
I just realised that I probably set it up on the PC in my office rather than the one I am sitting at now which I have recently rebuilt.
Perhaps I will try entering the wrong password on the other PC.
If I set it up on this PC before I rebuilt it then I am probably screwed.
To see if you have a local or online vault, look at my image above. Just below my circled line for Need to delete vault, you see the link for Open Cloud Vault. If you see that you have a local vault. If you see Open Local Vault or do not see an option there, you have a cloud vault.
If your vaults are different on the two PCs, it would indicate a local vault on at least one system.
