can I use a new bought key to renew existing installed NSD?

I have Norton Security Deluxe installed on my PC.

I saw that a retailer had it on sale so instead of renewing from within the program, I bought a new copy of it.

Can I just use the key from the new copy instead of downloading and installing the same software again?

Or should I uninstall completely and install from the new store purchase?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi, Todd. Yes, you can use that key to renew your subscription.

Best to wait until a day or two before your current sub expires then enter the new key, although Support will generally add the existing days to your new subscription.
