"Update your passwords now for better security" - what a palaver

I've just opened an email from Norton saying this:

So I generated a new password - this was along the lines of Z$eqUwrO?pLhUhoZl6-Z. It didn't work. I did it again - same result. I used my existing password - and am now here.

Trying to replicate my problem I saw that instead of being in the "Norton Community by Symantec" I was actually in something called "norton lifelock". (Will you be adding this to your list of labels?)

What's the point of the above exercise, other than to generate new income for Norton from a new product? It's ridiculous in my view and has been a complete waste of my time.

When you generated the new password did you copy/paste it into your web site's change password feature?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
