22.5.0.120 quick scan removes HP Games Bejeweled 3

Hi I installed the Norton Security 22.5.0.120 update last night with success, but just noticed that the first quick scan than ran after definition update removed one of my preinstalled HP games. I've had this computer for almost 3 years with Norton and this never happened before. I would like to restore the .exe file but am afraid of it happening again. I just reformatted this PC on June 1, 2015 and I don't want to mess anything up.

Re: 22.5.0.120 quick scan removes HP Games Bejeweled 3

Hi,

I had exactly the same issue two days ago. Same threat and same file infected, the only disparity is that I had one more file removed. I have had my HP computer for almost three years.

I haven´t had any issues before and I have been using Nortons product for ages.

What to do? What kind of threat is this and where did it come from? Is any of HP:s updates infected or is it a false threat?

I would really appreciate all help!

Re: 22.5.0.120 quick scan removes HP Games Bejeweled 3

Hello

Please submit the files to www.virustotal.com for a second opinion. If that comes back clean, then submit to Symantec for further analysis to see if it's a false positive.

To report a false positive, please use this link

https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/

Please come back and let us know how the reports came out. Thanks.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
