28 GB used by Norton Security on C:

I use Norton Security for many years. In the meantime 28 GB are occupied by Norton Security (see PDF attached). Which files can be deleted? Or is there even a kind of cleanup uitility? Thank you very much

How to post an image in the forums.

Safer for us then opening .PDFs.

Thanks.

I would also like to know if there is a cleanup utility or process for such situations.

At present mine is <1GB which appears normal. Considering that yours is at 28GB, you may want to uninstall and then reinstall Norton.

A lot of the files seem to be temporary files.

I use Wise Disk Cleaner at the end of my browsing sessions, and only ever use the first 3 tabs.

However, that may not work with Norton unless you disable Auto-Protect.

Instead I would recommend running the Norton Remove & Reinstall Tool.  This will uninstall your current copy of Norton, should remove unneeded files, then after a restart will reinstall the latest copy of your Norton product.

Please read the Before you begin section first.

Remember to run Live Update after that process, restarting where required, until no more updates are available.
