Abysmally slow delete backup set functionality

If you don’t subscribe to Norton cloud backup, you get an error message even if you backup to your own external drive. It says you haven’t backed up lately. So then you try another backup and get the same message. So Then you try to delete that first backup set. It’s still deleting files after 6 hours! This is unacceptable.

I found the same. Even deleting the files directly from the backup drive was slow but was still quicker than using Norton to delete the files.

I eventually gave up using the backup feature as I found it keeps files I’d deleted from the PC.

But is that not a feature of a backup? Maybe intentionally deleted files are no longer needed. But what about files accidentally deleted, either manually or by some utility? And sometimes users will delete files to make room on the hard drive, knowing the backup has the files for later.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
