Administrative Password Reset

I needed to change my settings in Norton but I forgot my administrative password. I read the product manual for Norton Internet Security and followed the steps recommended. However, when I got to the Uninstall/Change part I never saw the "Select Uninstall Preferences" message so I couldn't continue. If this was done in an older version of Norton would I need to look elsewhere? I really need to change this. Any advice/assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Re: Administrative Password Reset

Hi, Vicki. Possibly the simplest option might be to uninstall Norton using Control Panel > Programs and Features and then after the uninstall is finished and you've restarted your computer, you should be able to go to your Norton Account and download a  fresh pre-activated copy from there.

If that option works after you've done the download and install restarting when requested, run Live Update manually until no more are found and then restart your computer.

Others may chime in with other suggestions.
