Adobe Flash

Hi everybody :

A couple of days ago....I received a pop-up from Norton in reference to Adobe Shockwave Flash. Stating, due to the fact that this software was a gateway for intruders (for viruses).  I DISABLED it from my IE 11 MANAGE ADD-0NS(Toolbars and Extensions).   Now that I did this, I notice that any online videos won't play.   Is there a substitute for Adobe Shockwave Flash ?

Re: Adobe Flash

hi Garystan 1925

There is no direct replacement for Abode Flash for websites that use it. More websites are now using HTML5 as an alternative to Flash but that is not something you can control.

Ensure that you have the latest version of Flash is 18.0.0.209 you can check your version and download the latest version if needed from the link provided below. If you have Windows 8/8.1 Microsoft will automatically keep Flash upto date.

Using the latest version of Flash and keeping your Norton product upto date should in normal circumstances ensure that you are not vulnerable although, nothing is 100% certain.

Re: Adobe Flash

Do you mean Adobe Flash Player or Shockwave as you mentioned in your post?  You need to go here for Adobe Shockwave:  get.adobe.com/shockwave/
