Allow access to website

Hi, I'm using Norton Security. Suddenly a certain website cannot be reached from my PC. Trying the same website from my mobile does work. How can I add axceptions?

Thank you,

 Rouven

Re: Allow access to website

Hello Rouven

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums

If you feel a certain site is being blocked when it shouldn't be, you would have to post it in a non clickable form. I could then have the Safe Web Team evaluate the site.. The exact same site should be either allowed or blocked the same way in either device.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

Re: Allow access to website

I would like to access http://www.imgburn.com/    so that I can update my version of ImgBurn.

Please tell me how to do that.  If it requires a site evaluation, OK.  Last time I looked at the site I had to be careful not to download something that I didn't want.

Re: Allow access to website

Hi

We have manually analyzed the below domain and found it to be a Malicious Website. So the rating will remain red in safeweb.norton.com.

Re: Allow access to website

For several years now, ImgBurn downloads have been reported to include PUPs and other malware.  So Norton blocking the site is not really surprising or unwarranted.

Re: Allow access to website

Hello fplot,

Thank you for the information. When reading your answer correctly, it is only possible to grant access to certain blocked websites for all users using Norton Security by releasing them in the general whitelists. It seems not to be possible to add exceptions in my personal installation. As I know that the desired blocked website has malicious content it is not useful to post it here :p
Nevertheless I would like to access this website knowing the danger behind. Thank you for your help .

Re: Allow access to website

Hello Rouven

If the website has malware, it would remain as a blocked site according to Safe Web.There doesn't seem to be a way of using the website short of uninstalling your Norton product. If you were to reinstall your Norton program after using that website , Norton would probably find it and then quarantine and probably delete it, if you downloaded anything from that website.

Is it worth it to take a chance and getting your computer infected?

Thanks.
