Am I using Password Manager Wrong????

Like a blithering idiot, I have always relied on Chrome saving my passwords, payment info, etc.  But with the problems I've had with Chrome lately, I am playing with Edge Chromium, and so it made sense to use a universal (and more secure?) PW manager.  Since I own Norton 360, I started with Norton Password Manager (NPM).

It's weird.  When I go to a page that has a login, Norton pops up, but I sometimes still need to enter the PW via Chrome/Edge.  But the bigger pain is that NPM thinks every blank field is a login box.  I use several online services like CRM, contact/lead info, etc.  and when I go to these pages, NPM tries to log me into every field on the page.  WTF?

Are there configurations I am missing?

I am using both the latest Chrome and Edge Chromium on Windows 10 and Android.

I have tried...

Re: Am I using Password Manager Wrong????

Hello LoneMoose. Below are my personal settings within Chromium PWM extension.

And via the Norton user interface for PWM. I noticed you don't have the browser's password manager disabled in the settings. Give that a shot and see how things act. I don't have the issues you are seeing with these settings.

Cheers

Re: Am I using Password Manager Wrong????

I made the changes you suggested, and things are better, but PW manager still sees online tools I use as webforms and so tries to offer info.  I can't find it anywhere, but is there a way to have PW Manager ignore a site/domain so it won't try to fill in fields?

Re: Am I using Password Manager Wrong????

In settings. go to the Security tab. Select " Ask for my password before filling a login or form". This is the only way I know of with the present product that COULD workaround the issue. There used to be the ability to have a site ignored in the old product which was not added back.
