ARESTORE.EXE

I have a backup that the normal NORTON Backup Restore down not fine the Backup Set.  When I run ARESTORE from the Drive the Backupset is on, it will show it, but it opens in a window that is too small to see ANY controls other then the file list. (The button to start the restore is not visible). The window is fixed and not large enough to show the button.  I need a way to resize that window, or a hot key combo to start the restore. Using ARESTORE the "Backup" set will list in the dropdown as "Unknown". Selecting that entry takes a while, but the files I want to restore will list.

Re: ARESTORE.EXE

Hi jacromwell.

Welcome to the Norton Community Forums.

What operating system are you using and on what sort of device?

Why do you need to use Arestore.exe?

Do you no longer have N360 or NSBU installed on your device?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

Re: ARESTORE.EXE

Try changing your screen resolution.

The button is quite large, If it was there I don't understand how you could not see it.  But if you can see the words on the left side (all file types, pictures, music, etc) as you press the <Tab> key you will see them highlighted with an outline made up of dots.  Tab bown until the bottom catagory "selected files" is highlighted, then press the <tab> key 6 more times and then press enter.  That starts the restore for me when all the files are checked.

Re: ARESTORE.EXE

Thanx for the responses. it turns out the font selection on the computer(s) I was using were set to 125% causing parts of the screen to overflow out of the window borders.
