Awaiting Agent Backup!!

I see that I am not the only one that has this problem. I just subscribed to Norton Backup for a yr. and I also haven't got past "awaiting agent backup" it's a good thing they have the 60 day cancellation policy cause it looks like I will be cancelling this subscription real quick. 

If anyone gets an answer on how to fix this problem pls share it with me.

Unfortunately I don't think I can help with that. As a last resort I would try to scan my PC with another virus scanner (such as Malwarebytes Antimalware) and see if there is an undetected infection. Finally, I would also try to run the backup process from another network (from a friend's home). It would be easy especially if the PC is a laptop. Maybe some sort of network configuration is preventing the communication.

Looking at the bigger picture however, it seems to me that Symantec is trying to discourage the use of online backup. You can see that from: their pricing policy (extremely expensive for very little space), the fact that the backup software and online interface hasn't been updated in ages and finally the difficult method provided for purchasing additional storage space (only 10gb at a time).
