backdating norton toolbar

i'm running firefox 19 and norton 360 v 20.4.0.40.  because i have firefox add-ons set to update automatically (the default setting), i lost the use of the toolbar/identity safe with the recent update to toolbar v2013.4.1.2.   i need to backdate the toolbar to whatever came before v2013.4.1.2 (v2013.3.1.3 maybe?) in order to complete a project, but i've had no luck finding it on the norton website.  is there an archive page for older versions?

thank you,

ed

Re: backdating norton toolbar

Sorry, The toolbar is only supported in FF20 on.  FF22 has just been released so you should at least upgrade to v21.

Please se the following post by Mohan_G for details.

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

Re: backdating norton toolbar

like an idiot i had add-ons set to update automatically.  i'm fairly certain that won't happen again!  i've come to know and trust identity safe, and rely heavily on it on a daily basis (kudos for a great product, btw).

yes, i've read the posts by Mohan_G.  i prefer to stay several versions behind the latest greatest firefox for a) stability and b) compatibility reasons (usually fewer surprises back here!).  there are several other firefox add-ons critical to my project which have not migrated past v19 yet either, but will eventually.

i see identity safe is a "Featured Free Product."  i'm only asking for an older version of the product (a version i had until auto-update did its thing a few days ago), not support for it.  seriously, no support is needed ... just the add-on please?

Re: backdating norton toolbar

It is not a matter of the add on being updated that caused the issue. It is the fact that Firefox updated beyond the 3 version limit to the support window for Norton Products. If Mozilla would not have adopted this quick upgrade path we would not be seeing these problems.

The only way around this would be to not update your Norton, which is definitely not recommended.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
