Backup failed with errors

I've been trying to run a backup for about 48 hours.  Got a message that it "Failed with errors.  Check Log for details".  There was no error message on the Log.  I'm trying to do it again, but, I'm afraid I'm just wasting 2 days for nothing.  We just bought the backup and have never had it successfully complete, even after several attempts, and several interactions with Norton support.  Last interaction with Support we were told it would take 3 days to run.  Feel like we are spinning our wheels.

Not necessarily. We need to see what errors you're getting. Some errors can indicate open files where others indicate problems that need corrective action. There are some advanced logs that will give us more info. What operating system are you using?

Re: Backup failed with errors

Take a look in: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Norton Online Backup

The files ending in SLG and LOG are the ones we're after. Especially onlinebackup.log and SLG. Both are text files so NotePad will open them just fine. The SLG file is the detailed session log which has info on a single backup. The onlinebackup.log gives a summary of backups.
