Backup failing to connect with Norton server
I just installed Norton Security With Backup twice via my Norton Core Security Plus subscription.
The first time all was working well except that I got the bright red warning that backup was needed. Clicked on the fix button. This opened a window for me to sign on to the Norton server. Doing that resulted in failure to complete the sign on and the appearance of permanent blue "Your computer has a fix in progress" message. (I.e., it just stays there.) (And yes, multiple reboots did not alter this situation.) Following hints on another Forum thread, I uninstalled NSWB, ran the Norton Removal Tool, and reinstalled NSWB. Exact thing happened as before.
And yes my online storage account is active and has 10+ gig of empty space available. And yes I entered the correct email address and password when attempting the server sign on. And yes reboots did not fix the problem with the second round either.
