Buying new subscription instead of renewing

I have Norton 360 since 2014. The subscription has expired since 2 months. Now instead of renewing i am buying Norton 360 for 2015 version. Do i need to uninstall 2014's Norton or just use the key to extend my subscription?

Re: Buying new subscription instead of renewing

Hello NeelKh

Welcome to the Norton Community Forum

Please confirm the product that you have bought for 2015.  Have you bought Norton Security with Backup or Norton Security? Or are you renewing your N 360 for another year? We need a clear answer to these questions in order to help you with your thread. Thanks.

Re: Buying new subscription instead of renewing

If in fact you do have a new product key for Norton 360, look for a link to renew on the main 360 screen near the bottom where your subscription days used to be displayed. Click on that and then look for a link that says I have a key or code to enter. Enter your new product key there and you should be good to go for another year.

One thing to note is this will only work as long as you have the same version of 360 for the old and new. ie Standard or Premium.

If you in fact got the new Norton Security or Norton Security with Backup, you should still be able to just run the installer. It will remove your old product, saving most of your settings, and then install the new product. You then enter the new key into the new product.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
