Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

After restore attempts with errors, I was able to get a manual restore via DVD. Now storage is low and unable to delete old machines or data. All it will do is keep going to a sign in page, and then a blank page. Can not backup any more at this time. It seems like a neat service, but not working properly. Would like to help figure this out.

Hi Joel

We have already spoken via email and resolved the matter. Please confirm if otherwise.

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

Tried to access online back up  again. All I can get now is a download screen. Downloaded once, ran from screen. Install seams to run but no pop up to continue. I adjusted a backup set size in 360 and it is in process at this time. Letting it run.

You don't have any active Computers setup within NOBU currently is why its prompting to download. Do you intend to use Norton 360 exclusively for backup or Norton 360? The two can technically co-exist but for backup purposes it's better to pick one or the other to avoid conflicts.

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

I can use either , Witch one is better for viewing files to restore or download? I did run a 360 backup as it asked to fix in 360. I thought they where on in the same and you just viewed file and downloaded through the nobu. Although I'm considering updating protection for smart phones as well. Is there yet another option?

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

Like you mentioned you can access the files for download via the web with Norton 360. The upside to using NOBU is the web management piece of it. It is probable Norton 360 is preventing the install. To be certain though we'd likely nned you to call into support. Before we put you through that though is Norton 360 working properly in all other aspects?

Yes. The backup from 360 did process. and all else is working. 360 Subscription due in 30 days.

There is an nobu icon in the lower right tray with the 360 and the program is in the c drive but it doesn't launch without going to that download screen.

Does Norton one still have the backup and is it for all types of devices?

It sounds like I should only one of the products or backup to avoid conflicts. correct?

We need to work through which one is best for me.

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

Norton One provides security protection for multiple devices. It does not provide backup in the same manner. If you opt for Norton 360 it has the backup functionality which you can share among other computers you install Norton 360 on. The latest version of Norton Mobile Security also offers a backup feature but that covers the phone contacts only.

Yes, you want to select one of the two to make things easier in the end. If you do want both you can also always purchase a 5GB Norton Online Backup account. If you purchase Norton One that'll give you an additional 25 GB for a total of 30 GB. Then you can use Norton Internet on the other machines along with NOBU.

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

I had purchased the 5gig nobu when I was having trouble with my restore. It should have 8 to 10 months on it. My 360 is due to renew in less than 30 days.

What would be your best suggesting for me. I do like the web base utility of knob.

That being the case and I want internet protection for phones.  It may seem that   ONE and NOBU would be better than 360.

Correct?

Re: Can do nothing with nobu after restore attempts

If I had to pick between the products I'd go for Norton One and NOBU. Once I have Norton One I'd utilize NIS for security purposes. Norton 360 is a good product but its geared more towards the average user since it covers a lot of various system tasks. I've personally always preferred keeping things to the minimum needed plus you get the mobile device choice.

That is the direction I'm going. Thank you for your input
