Can a Norton 360 product key be used to activate Norton Security

A friend is using Norton 360 (3 devices) on his Windows XP computer. Can he use his 360 product key to activate Norton Security on his new Windows 10 computer?

Re: Can a Norton 360 product key be used to activate Norton Security

I know the product keys will work the other way around. ie If he had a Norton Security Premium key, he could use it to activate Norton 360. All he can do is try. The product will tell him if it accepts the key.

Functionally, Norton 360 is identical to the newer Norton Security products. If he is ready to move up to the newer product line, he should contact Norton Support and ask them to upgrade his product subscription.   www.norton.com/contactcs

He would probably end up saving some money as the only way to get 360 is by renewing directly with Norton. Renewal prices are generally more expensive than just purchasing a new product key.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
