Can not logon to https://identitysafe.norton.com - stand alone version still not working

After many many many tries to get the stand alone version of Norton Identity Safe to stay up and running for more than 3 days at a time, I've decided to give up. Am a bit sorry because I liked the fact my secure website's logons and passwords were accessable from any computer.

I now find that I can no longer logon to https://identitysafe.norton.com and retrieve all my stuff. What's up? Where has all my stuff gone now? Do I have to go through uninstalling, reinstalling and countless updates again?

What happens when you try to log into the Identity Safe website? Are you just not able to log in at all, or can you log in and you see no information?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

It just will not accept my login info. Says my User ID or password is incorrect. I have an old fashion backup of all my secure website logins and passwords, 3x5 index cards in real fire proof safe. I've had to refer to them in the countless times I've had to un-install, reinstall, and update at least 5 times to get the Toolbar and Vault to work because Vault would become unresponsive to anything.

If you would look at my other posts, I'm not the only one who is so frustrated that we've given up. Sorry, I had high hopes for this app.

Did you ever get access to your vault from the stand alone app?

Just to clarify the username and password situation.

Are you first logging in using your Norton Account email address and password, then entering the vault password?

Before this last episode, whereby my Vault stopped taking my password, "Check for updates" totally useless, I could go to the website and use my Norton Account user ID and password, THEN use my Vault password and had access to all my secure website's user IDs and passwords. Funny thing was that my Toolbar and Vault (yes on my desktop) was still totally dead.

So, yes I did go to Norton's Identity Safe website. I did use my Norton user ID and password and it came back as "Invalid" and did not ask for my Vault password (as it had in previous logins).

What ever the problem is, fix it and make sure it is stable, then drop me a line. Who knows, I might give it a try.

Did you ever try to reset your vault password? If so, you would have lost the vault contents. Unfortunately that is how it works.

Can you still log into your Norton Account?

No, I never tried to change my vault password. Still can not logon to Norton's Identity Safe website.

Is anyone working on this problem? I've tried other password programs, ie LastPass, but when I had Norton's Identity Safe installed and working, it was superior in being user friendly.

Re: Can not logon to https://identitysafe.norton.com - stand alone version still not working

Hi,

Can you please private message me your Norton Account email address?

I can see if you've have been locked out due to too many invalid attempts.

I also didn't catch which version of IDSafe for PC you are running on your computer.

Thanks,

Rhonda L -- Norton IDSafe Team, Symantec
