Cannot open ID Safe Vault - Norton says password is incorrect

Windows 8 "Action Center" began flagging Norton Internet Security as OFF today.  So I ran the Norton Removal Tool and then reinstalled NIS 2013.  Now when I try to log into ID Safe, Norton tells me my password is wrong.  This is the same password I've been using for months.  It hasn't changed and I know it's being entererd correctly.  Is there something I'm missing here?

Hi KBPrez,

Here is some information  on Wn 8 Action Center report NIS as off.  Did you Export your ID Safe Data prior to running the NRT?

How are you logging into ID Safe?  Can you log into your Norton Account and then it rejects your Vault password for online vault?

Thank you for info on Action Center issue!  Yes I do have a backup of my vault.  I am trying to log in directly from NIS.  I'm able to log into my Norton account, but when I try to log into ID Safe, my online vault password is rejected.

Have you tried to log in using the ID Safe Home page icon   on the Norton Tool Bar?

I found  a thread on this forum that told me how to "reset" my vault.  After I entered the password incorrectly 3 times in a row, Norton prompted me to create a new password and then reset my vault.  That went fine and then I was able to do an import from my backup.  Everything is good now.  THANKS for your help!

You are most welcome and I am glad you got it sorted.  It should serve as a lesson to all - always keep a recent Export of your ID Safe Data!
