Cannot start manually a scan

I update form window 7 to window 10. I have the latest version of Norton. However, I cannot run manually a scan. Very urgent.

It is possible Norton has become corrupt during the upgrade.

My suggestion is to download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool which will uninstall your current copy of Norton, saving settings, then download and install a fresh new copy.

If you give this a try, please read the Before you begin section first.  Once your new copy is installed, remember to run Live Update, restarting where required, until no more updates are available.

Hi,

The team has released a FIX TOOL [KB article] to address one of the top cause for the 'Scan does not start' issue.

Note: The fix tool is currently not compatible with Windows XP.

Please let me know if this fixes the issue.

Sir,

I try the two option: to fix and Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. However, the problem persist. Up to now I cannot  start manually the scann. I'm currently use window 10 with Lenovo thinkpad E555. and northon security with backup version 22.5.2.15

Hello

Have you tried turning off Fast Startup in Win 10? That can cause issues. Is your computer free of malware? Some malware can cause security scans to not run.

Please, I don't know what to do. I have tried all but no solution. Have uninstalled and re-installed Northon, but still I cannot start manually a scan

Hello

Please run Live Update until you receive the update  to version  22.5.4.24. That fixes some scan problems I believe.
