Can't access backup files

Windows 10

The computer I want the files that were backed up from was upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7.  I did not keep the computer name the same. I moved some of my Norton licenses around when we got some new computers, and the old computer name did not get a license, but the same computer, just a different name did..  

I have a Norton Backup Drive listed under This PC (the one I want the files from).  In that drive, I can see all the files I want to restore, but when I try to restore them, I get "There is a problem connecting to the Internet.  Make sure a connection is available".  

I can also see the files in my Norton online account, but when I try to restore from there, I get "We could not create a secure connection with our servers to download your file. Please sign in again".

I have turned off all firewalls, and still nothing.  I have renamed the computer back to the original name, uninstalled and re-installed both Norton 360 and Norton Online backup.  Still can't get to those files.  

Are they really there, or are they just ghosts taunting me with the files I desperately want (most of my kids baby/toddler photos).

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums. Please let us know if you are still having issues with accessing files from backup drive.
