Kudos2 Stats

Can't log in to my vault

Am connected to internet and logged into my Norton 360 but, when I try to open the vault after awhile I get an error message that the server has timed out and to check my internet connection.  Was logged into my vault last nite and today can't log in??  What good is the cloud storing my passwords if I can't get to them.  No error on my part.

What's going on????

Good question. Sorry, but I don't have a good answer. I'm logged in and not experiencing any problems. What is your operating system and which browser are you using?

Good question. Sorry, but I don't have a good answer. I'm logged in and not experiencing any problems. What is your operating system and which browser are you using?

I am using Windows 7 with all updates and normally use Firefox and have also tried IE 8 and Google Chrome and same issue continues.  When I try to log in with any of the browsers, it either says syncing or opening but, then either times out with no message or a message that it has timed out and to check my network connection.  But, my network connection is just fine since I can post here??

Others appear to be having the same issue without resolution.  Very strange since it was working last nite and not today.  Are some of your servers down??

Another good question. I'm not an employee nor am I even in the same state with the servers. Rather than servers I'm thinking there may be a router or two taking a break . It may be that things will get back to 'normal' again very soon. Hardware that isn't working correctly usually prompts the repair types to get them fixed as quickly as possible.

I have the same problem. Started on Oct 31, 2012. Contacted support and they told me it will be repaired in 24 hours. Called back on Sunday Nov 4th. Spoke with 2 gentleman both could not help me. I was told someone will be calling my tomorrow who can fix this. Monday morning I received a call, they had me remove Norton 360 and reinstall it.  I did this and problem still is happening.  Norton just called me back and they said the problem may be repaired in 1 to 2 weeks.

Note: my husbands Norton vault is working fine, just curious for how long!!!!

I am not very happy with Norton at this time.

Time to look for a new antivirus software!!!!

same problem here, If i go online I get a server error, i even tried to use identity safe on my iphone and when I log in I get a server error also.

Mine began after switching off the computer last night, this morning when I turned it on I was logged out of my Norton account, logged in fine but I can't log into ID safe, says server has timed out & to check my internet connection - it's fine. Tried via ID safe website but same story although that error message did imply to me for some reason that the problem was at Norton's end.

Hi All,

I hope that following steps which is  temporary can help you fix the issue : -

1) Open : https://identitysafe.norton.com

2) Uninstall Norton from computer leaving the settings behind & restart the computer.

3) Download & install Standalone ID Safe.

4) Login to ID safe & take backup of the logins & passwords.

5) Reset the profile to delete all the logins.

6) Reinstall norton & create the online vault profile

7) Import ID safe & see if you can use that ID safe or not.

If that does not work , then let me know.

Sorry but doesn't work for me as I tried using the free version on another computer & that too timed out. I've also tried resetting the profile by changing my Norton account email address which deleted the vault & then I tried setting it up again with the new address but no change.

I have exaclty the same problem since I upgraded my software to the latest verison.  It has been a week since I could get in.  Timing out, window 7, multiple different computers and internet connections.  Renders this software useless.

Finally managed to log into the online vault by resetting the password (enter the incorrect password several times), strange thing is I tried that previously & it never gave me the option to reset, just continually told me the password was wrong.

Yea, This has been a real problem. Must have ran RnR tools, reinstalled 25 times. Sometimes my online storage is inaccessable, but every time my online vault attempts time out with "internal server error" try again later. I'm pretty exasperated. Thinking about requesting a refund, if it continues, my cards, notes and sign ins are what I like about the product! Bumm'n in St.Louis.....

The instructions given here are impossible as https://identitysafe.norton.com take you to another place to sign in to your vault. Thers no way to uninstall product from there. I dont understand? This is in regard to entry be Mohan_G on previous page.

I just unistalled and reinstalled n360 on two computers, I still cannot log into my vault.  I either get the internal error or a time out.

Had tech support try and fix this problem for over an hour.. Finally passed me on to a higher level of support and they admitted there was a problem with their software. They could fix it be creating a new account and losing all your existing passwords, etc... or you can wait till about mid December when they said they expect to have a fix in place.

Even visiting ID safe via that link I still receive the internal server error so there's a major problem with the online ID safe. Can't help wondering whether the lack of official comment over this major problem is a sign that the there's been a breach in security somewhere & they're too busy dealing with it to post here with a solution.
