Coinminer

After doing a system restore I logged onto a site that sent me a "coinminer" virus/trojan, my AV has blocked this in the past but after the restore my AV was not active. I did a full system scan and it was found & fully resolved. Other people on that site say this is hard to destroy and my AV may not have cleared it completely and I should use another malware remover. Can you confirm that my Norton AV has cleared this problem?

PUJAScoinminer fully resolved

Trojan.Gen.NPE fully resolved

Re: Coinminer

Hello Robert. Check in your Norton dashboard under Quarantine to see if those still show. More than likely they have been resolved. Reboot your system and run "liveupdate" to ensure you have the latest updates installed. Run a full system scan again to confirm these are indeed resolved.

As an added measure download and run Malwarebytes. It will detect malware that Norton doesn't detect, such as PUP programs and browser hijackers. Remove whatever it may find in quarantine.
