Device listed twice?

I have the deluxe NIS, that allows for 5 devices. I currently have it installed on 3 devices. When I log into My Norton it lists my Pixel twice under My Devices. Since I only have one I find this odd. Why would this be?

Re: Device listed twice?

Did you have to reinstall your Norton on the Pixel? Old installations often do not get deleted from the Devices page.

What shows if you click on My Norton at the top right of the web site, then click My Subscriptions? Does that show the correct number of activations?

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Device listed twice?

I had only installed Norton on my Pixel one time right after I had bought it. When I checked under the My Subscription link it shows my main rig & laptop correctly, but 2 Pixels with install dates 3 days apart.

Re: Device listed twice?

Sorry for late reply.

Go to your Norton Account My Subscriptions page again. Click on the trash can beside each activation for the Pixel device. That will clear the subscription.

Then try going into the Norton Mobile Security, NMS app settings. Tap on the 3 bars at the top left of the NMS screen and tap on Settings. Scroll down to the Anti Theft section and turn off the Device Administrator setting.  Now go to Android Settings - Apps. Scroll to the NMS app and clear the app cache and app Data. Restart the device and turn the Device Administrator setting back on. This will reset your NMS to a trial version. To get the full version back, open the NMS app, tap on the 3 bars at the top left, then tap Sign In. Enter your Norton Account information and you should have the full version again.

Then test to see if things work properly.

Re: Device listed twice?

Thanks peterweb, that took care of the double subscriptions. Though they are both still listed under My Devices. Though after a bit of research, I discovered that is a sync error on Norton's part. Which gives me a bit of a scare, seeing as how our security is trusted to a company whose own can't website communicate with itself!...Hahaha!!
