Device Name

I have just extended my Norton 360 subscription by one year. When looking at my account I thought I would change the name of my device. I have done this but it has been "upgrading" for hours or the session expires and I have to sign in again. There is a big red cross on the image of my device.

What do I do please?

Re: Device Name

Hi, Staweller. If you sign in to your Norton Account,  click on Devices in the header line, and on the device you wish to rename click on the pen icon next to the trash can icon, and you can rename your device.

Have you signed in using the Manage option ?  https://manage.norton.com/

Also you can try rebooting and sign in again. Any problems and Support can help if required.  http://norton.com/chat

All that you said is what I have done. It is still just upgrading.

Re: Device Name

Check on the computer that you are trying to rename. Look under Settings - Administrative Settings and ensure that Remote Management is turned on. If it is off, turn it on and restart your computer.

If it is on, try turning it off, restart the computer, then turn it back on and restart again. Sometimes settings get muddled and need to be reset.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Device Name

Hi peterweb

I have tried what you said. It is still the same with a red cross against the computer icon and when I click on that is is upgrading.

It is just annoying I suppose as it doesn't alter my subscription of how anything works.
