Excluding Hidden Folders And Files

Hello, I just have a quick question.  I have the most current version of Norton Security Premier which includes BackUp.  When doing a backup, is there a way to exclude hidden and/or system files other than manually excluding each and every file or folder.  If there is not, may I suggest adding this feature to a future update.  This is my only complaint with Norton BackUp, there is no option to exclude hidden and/or system files, at least if there is I have not figured it out yet, merci.

Re: Excluding Hidden Folders And Files

No there is not a specific exclusion for hidden and system files.

This might be a good suggestion for the Product Suggestions board https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Excluding Hidden Folders And Files

Starting from (notice the wildcards before and after "some text") find . -type f -name '*some text*'. how can one exclude/ignore all hidden files ... Exclude hidden files when searching with Unix/Linux find? ... Which would ignore all the hidden files (files and directories starting with a dot).
