Extensions need be installed, but they're all installed.

It's a Chrome issue with Norton, Norton Support were unable to fix the issue and hadn't heard of such an issue before.  They tried uninstall reinstall, then refreshing the browser.  The green tick is there on the browser and settings say it's protected, but in the settings under identity safe it's asking to install extensions, with a red circle next to Chrome.  Not really sure what to do here, as all extensions have been added.  I would be grateful if anyone could help and apologies if this sounds complicated.

Hello Matt. What is the OS and version you are using, as well as the version of Chrome? Knowing what Norton product and version you have will also help.

Cheers

If this is what you are referring to, there is nothing to worry about, (function wise). What has happened is that Norton has not changed the code that detects the ID Safe extension for Chrome since they went to the independent browser extensions. That code used to detect the ID Safe feature that was part of the Norton Security product. Which no longer exists.

Yes, that's the one.  Thanks for the information, Surprising that their Support team hadn't heard of this issue.

Glad I could help.

Surprising that their Support team hadn't heard of this issue.

The support people can only work with the scripts they are given. Although we have seen the issue reported here, that kind of information does not necessarily get passed on to the official Norton Support. Occasionally you will get an agent that has actually used the product and might have seen an issue like this.
