Failed to Restore error message - Web Interface issue
I am trying to restore (download) several files through the Web Interface @ nobu.backup.com to a different computer than the original computer used for the backup. I am trying to examine the online files to check their integrity and content before I download and sync the entire group of folders ~16GB in size. They are all .JPG files. I need these files NOW for a system rebuild after a crash and I should be able download a particular file via the Web Interface to a new staging PC. The staging computer has Symantec Endpoint Protection installed with LiveUpdate. I also tried on a computer that has no Norton software installed at all. The original files were backed up online over several years using several Norton360 releases, but I am not sure which version was last installed on the computer generating the backup set. I have a current, active Norton360 subscription. The original files were backed up under MS Vista. I have tried several browsers such as IE, Chrome. I have tried the Web Interface on several different computers with the same result.
I noticed another similar message thread of a reported Failed to Restore problem on 3/13/2012. I CANNOT wait a similar period of time to gain access to these files.
The only workaround I will have to investigate is to try installing the Norton360 client on a staging computer and restoring files through the installed application, not the Web Interface. THE WEB INTERFACE currently has an issue!
