IS fails for split page logins

IdSafe is no longer entering un+pw for me on Amazon and Paypal (if redirected from a vendor, which is what usually happens; I can login normally if I go directly to the Paypal site). Surely everyone is having the same problem as me? I have reported it many times with no response from Norton. I have had two Norton technicians run my PC through remote desktop and fiddled for 40 minutes got nowhere, then simply ended the session without telling me anything.

It's particularly annoying as Amazon and Paypal are the two logins that I use most often.

I have googled this problem extensively and I am in disbelief that others aren't having this issue. Maybe it is some deep issue in windows that just affects me. There is a 'solution' on the Norton site but it simply tells you how to enter a login manually; even through the article is titled 'split page' it does not work: here

I am running win7 with IE11. I am a UK user. IS has the same problem in Chrome.

I believe I have the latest version of IdSafe. I can find no version number for IdSafe per se, but my NIS version is 22.14.0.54

This is the only issue that I have had with NIS for a number of years (which is why I recommend it) - everything else in the suite is working fine.

Anyone able to help please?

IS THERE A SINGLE PERSON OUT THERE WHO SUCCESSFULLY LOGS INTO AMAZON SPLIT PAGE USING IS? It would help if I knew that it is possible at least!

Thanks

Phil

Hello Phil, Can you try with Firefox, Edge or Chrome and give us a feedback. Thanks Guillaume1024

Re: IS fails for split page logins

it seems ok in chrome but that browser has the annoying behaviour of asking me to sign into my VAULT every time I open it

Re: IS fails for split page logins

Thank you for this feedback. Good if it works with Chrome. The latest version of the NIS module is only available for Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Edge. (More info here: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/announcing-norton-identity-safe-5...) Also for reasons of performance and security, I recommend that you use one of these browsers instead when you use Norton Identity Safe.

Regarding the annoying behaviour of asking you to sign into your VAULT every time you open it, this can be parameterized.

OK Guillarme1024 .. thanks for the advice . I think it's time for me to shift over to Chrome permanently and, hopefully, that will sort all my ills! maybe the only reason that I couldn't find this problem online is because maybe I am the only person still using IE !!

thanks for your help -- good call.

Re: IS fails for split page logins

Hi again ... how do you do that please? I thought I could find a toggle somewhere but there seems to be nothing that does this. I note that other users are also complaining that every time they open Chrome they need to log into their vault again. that is quite user unfriendly although I guess I could just leave Chrome open 24/7 ?!

Thanks

Re: IS fails for split page logins

Phil. You can set Chrome to remain running in the background, in the system tray. In your notification center, you should see the Google Chrome icon. Right click it and check the 'Let Google Chrome run in the background' option. Not sure but I believe the vault will still close.

Cheers
