File skipping during scan after updating

I recently updated my NS and it looks like the option to have it scan every file has been removed and it defaulted to skipping files and not scanning trusted files. I tried removing everything from the exclude options and it still skips files on scanning. Is this a permanent thing Symantec integrated into NS so it runs faster or is there still an option buried somewhere so it scans everything?

Any help would be much appreciated, Thank you.

hi Pezzy

Norton Insight has been around for quite a while and is not new to Norton Security, first mention of it was in Norton Internet Security 2009.

Re: File skipping during scan after updating

To scan Trusted files, you need to use the "Clear file IDs excluded during scans" option found on the Scans and Risks tab in the Antivirus Settings.  This removes the reputation information from Trusted files so that they will be included in Norton scans.  Don't worry about skipped files - they are skipped because they were scanned previously and have not since been modified.  They will be rescanned on the next scan following an update of the virus definitions through LiveUpdate.

So, if I have a file with a Good or Trusted rep.  Clear file ID's will remove the Good or Trusted rep...?  and does the reputation change to Unproven ...?
