Full System Scan Not Completing

The full system scan on my computer is not completing. The only way I can get it off my computer screen is to restart or shut down my computer.  The quick scan works. Does this have anything to do with the newest version update ending in 76?

I have Windows 10.

If you are experiencing the issue only now, it may fall within the Hot Issues listed in http://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-227-hot-issue-and-fixes, and as per Tony Weiss, Administrator "If you have comments or questions on the below items, you may wish to add them to the relevant threads that are linked at the end of each issue."

I just did a full system scan manually, and it is now working. It did it in the usual amount of time for this computer (about 21 minutes).

Please keep an eye on the system. I think this issue seems to be intermittent for some users. Please also keep an eye on the thread that Rainbow posted and the links to threads within that  thread for information of same issue from other users.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Norton Core Security Plus 22.17.3.50 Core Firmware 282 I E 11 Chrome latest version.
