Getting rid of "This site is untested" message

We put the Norton Secured seal on our website. When you click on the seal you get a page that says "Additionally, check out the Norton Rating for this site." If you click on the Norton Rating link it brings you to a page that says "Web Site Location Unknown. This site has not been tested yet. The Norton rating is a result of Symantec's automated analysis system." Our site is being scanned daily by Symantec's automated analysis system and it's coming up clean. I want to remove the "Web Site Location Unknown. This site has not been tested yet." messages.  I called Symantec and they said it was a Norton issue and they gave me a number to call. The number they gave me was for GeoTrust. The person I got said this was not a GeoTrust issue, but he knew I could get rid of those messages by verifying the ownership of my site. I tired to do that using the MetaTag but the verification failed. I chatted Norton and they opened a case and said someone would call me. Someone did call me, but it was on a Sunday and I missed the call. He left a voice mail with a callback number. I have called that number 3 times and each time I was on hold for over an hour and I gave up. I chatted again and was told someone would call me back right away. That did not happen. I emailed referencing my case number - nothing - no reply, no call back.

Anyone know how I can get those messages removed? Is it because my site is not verified? How do I get my site verified? How do I get support from Norton? Why does it say "The Norton rating is a result of Symantec's automated analysis system" but then Symantec says it's a Norton issue?

Hello LarryMartell59

Please give me the name of your website.

Please give me html file that you received from Safe Web.

Once you have posted them here, then I can notify the Safe Web Team to verify ownership. I will have to find out who does the daily evaluations.

Thanks.

Re: Getting rid of "This site is untested" message

The website is https://bekku.bbmsc.com

I am not sure which html file you need. The Secure Seal html is:

<table width="135" border="0" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" title="Click to Verify - This site chose Symantec SSL for secure e-commerce and confidential communications.">
<tr>
<td width="135" align="center" valign="top"><script type="text/javascript" src="https://seal.websecurity.norton.com/getseal?host_name=bekku.bbmsc.com&am..."></script><br />
<a href="http://www.symantec.com/ssl-certificates" target="_blank"  style="color:#000000; text-decoration:none; font:bold 7px verdana,sans-serif; letter-spacing:.5px; text-align:center; margin:0px; padding:0px;">ABOUT SSL CERTIFICATES</a></td>
</tr>
</table>

The meta tag is:

<meta name="norton-safeweb-site-verification" content="3gp6q0io0kwai-zoc5dikhpxdx-hrkbnajqx88pe2esuds9pzi6r5ign5a88f2-54u2r6fm8uw2ex8rk4smymzpnzy1kouwfdn3gbf5k--h18ima6s0uhw1d5bxd8hoc" />

Thank you very much for looking into this.

Hi LarryMartell59 ,

The meta tag which you placed on your website is incorrect. Please use the correct meta tag generated for your website. Once done, kindly get back to us.

Re: Getting rid of "This site is untested" message

I got this meta tag by going to https://safeweb.norton.com/site_dispute, logging in, going to my profile, then to site dispute, then clicking on verify your site, then meta tag in method of verification. and copy/pasting the HTML into my page as directed. I just did that same thing again, and I got a different meta tag, and that one worked. Don't know why it changed, but it's all good now.
