Google Chrome, IE, and Mozilla Firefox crashes

After downloading Norton Security for 2015, Google Chrome, IE, and Mozilla Firefox crashes. When I Googled this,  it seems a lot of other users have this problem with no solution. I ran this by my brother who takes his computer in for repair at the The Chip Merchant in San Diego. He was told by them they use Malwarebytes.com ( https://www.malwarebytes.org/). It's free. I downloaded their file and ran it on my computer. Thanks to this program, the problem of my browsers crashing has been resolved. Since I have never ran this program and my computer is 7 years old, the program found over 3900 infected files. These files have been quarantined.

Re: Google Chrome, IE, and Mozilla Firefox crashes

Hi olddoe42,
Most users at this community recommends use of Malwarebytes Antimalware as second line of defence, as it has certain the ability to catch certain types of programs like PUP (potentially unwanted program) / PUA (potentially unwanted application).
The programs of these category come bundled with Frees hosted on third party servers.
