granting remote access to technician

When granting a Norton technician with remote access using LogMein for an issue, what information from the system does the technician actually have access to? How safe is it to allow access? I did allow access for an upgrade but now have 2nd thoughts about doing it.

I recall powered by Moxie as Chat Support platform.
