"heuristic virus. detection of a threat based on mailware

Just brought some software from a company called bookami. You purchase the software online and they send you a link to be able to download which can only be put onto 1 pc.  I have tried and tried and it wont allow this software  each time saying "heuristic virus. detection of a threat based on mailware". I have been told by others who have downloaded it its ok with other anti virus software companys. Someone even told me to turn off my nortons and then download the software as they had the same problem. All I want to do is resolve this problem as I have never had a problem with norton until now.

Hello

You can try submitting it to Norton as a False Positive and see what they say.

To report a false positive, please use this link

You can try Customer Support.

Thanks.

In Norton click on the 'History' option and in the Security History window that pops up select from the pull-down menu (at the top) either Resolved Security Risks or Quarantine. Click on the quarantined software and then near the bottom right side click on 'More Options'. In the next window click on 'Options' at the bottom and then in the next window select 'Restore & exclude this file'. Norton should then let you download and install the software but if for some reason you still can not, as someone suggested you can turn off Norton to download and install the software and then turn Norton back on.

Hello

If you must, please do not turn off Norton. Just disable Download Insight. That will let you download the program without leaving you completely unprotected by Norton..

Thanks.
