Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

I'm using the latest Norton Security and wanted to check some things in My Norton account.  I can log in OK, but I get an initial screen that says the following:

 NEW Norton 360 update

Your update to NEW Norton 360 is here.  More protection to reward our loyal customers.

Yellow button:   UPDATE NOW

Blue link:  "I'll do this later."

I don't want to update anything right now, so I click on "I'll do this later."   It merely refreshes the same screen and message.  I've tried it multiple times.  Since I can't proceed I've also tried clicking on on the black "X" in the corner of that message screen.  It too only refreshes the same screen.   So it looks like the only way to get out of that screen would be to choose UPDATE NOW, which I don't want to do.   So to get out of that, all I can do is close the browser completely, without ever getting into My Norton account.

I'm using Firefox 66.   I can't easily try with another browser right now.

Thanks for any suggestion.  Or is Norton forcing the 360 Update on everyone just to get into their account?

Hello mesquitebean. Flush your browser cache in FF. Restart your browser and retry the website again.

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

Is this a FREE update to 360? I selected Update Now and it gave me a page with 360 with no price and Lifelock for $5 and change. I selected 360 and it gave me a blank billing page. Same blank page with FF 66 and Edge-Dev.

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

If you only want the 360 and NO Lifelock, there should be no charge for the update. If you decide you want to take advantage of the Lifelock service, you will be enrolling in that service with a monthly fee.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

I like the idea of a free update to try this new version since it includes a VPN. Now if it will let me finish it would be nice, but it hangs at the billing page which is blank.

As we often suggest for subscription issues, contact Support and ask them to process this update.   www.norton.com/contactcs

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

Thanks Christy,

I have 3 systems on the same license for NS. How do I update all three since it is not offered through Live Updates?

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

AFAIK When your account gets updated to the new product key, you may just need to run Subscription Status from the Help page in your Norton. That should initiate an update to those systems.

If not, and you are given the new product key, use the Enter Product Key from the Help page. I know that will initiate the update.

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

I am not being offered the 360 update anymore. Tried 3 browsers, cleared history and no help.

I will wait for Christy to update this thread.

Re: Hitting a roadblock in My Norton account

Thanks a lot @Christy.

I just tried it and it now works fine again in Firefox. I can now get past that 360 upgrade offer and into My Norton account.

Thank you!

I went to Norton Chat and decided to pass on the free 360 upgrade.
