Home Network Protection

Hello Forum, I'm halfway through my 30 day Trail of Norton Premium and am wondering if it offers a Home Network Protection module for the PC (Win 10 Pro 64 bit). I'm looking at the interface and am not seeing it at this point (maybe I'm just missing it ?). I'm looking for something that can monitor and protect my home network, connected devices, Wifi connections etc. I'm almost ready to purchase a 10 device, 1 year subscription but this feature or lack thereof will be a major factor in determining if Norton is right for me. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Home Network Protection

Hello Marc. Have you considered Norton Core? Norton Security Premium is a great product, however Core and its accompanying security solution protects at the device level.

Re: Home Network Protection

Thanks for the response but I don't think Core is something I would be interested in purchasing. The free security suite I get from my ISP does have a Home Network monitor but it's overall protection is not as highly rated as Norton's. Oh well I have two more weeks to decide if Norton is right for me. Thanks again.

Re: Home Network Protection

I personally use NSBU with a 10 device subscription and find that its more than adequate in protecting my network. The built in firewall always stops every intrusion no matter what the source. Norton having gone "lightweight" with its software unfortunately doesn't provide a network security map as with past versions though. The advanced settings area is about as close to an actual console as is available with the current version 22.12.1.15

Re: Home Network Protection

Thanks but it's just nice to know what's connected to the network. This is how the free software from my ISP looks (not my network just a screenshot from google images). The paid solution I was using before (that I had to drop due to bugs and poor overall performance) also had this feature. By the way how did you post an image ? the only file types accepted here are .pdf, .zip and .txt. Once I've been a member here for awhile will I be allowed to upload images which are very useful if reporting any issues?

Re: Home Network Protection

Norton used to have a feature like that, but it was dropped a number of years ago.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Home Network Protection

Thanks for the responses everyone. I'm about 95% sure I'll go ahead and buy Norton at the end of my trial period.
