How can I make a copy of my online vault?

Like many people posting on this forum, I am having problems with my online vault. My vault is also being backed up on the C drive of my laptop. How can I print a paper copy of my logins/passwords either from the online vault or C drive?

When my online vault is open, the information does not seem to be in a printable form. I can't seem to find a way to unlock the information on my C drive. Thanks!

Re: How can I make a copy of my online vault?

Hello Patrick:

Login into your online Vault, click Settings (sun icon at bottom of screen), click on Import/Export tab, click on second option "Export"  as Plain Text .csv to your desktop or file in which you keep your Identity Safe documents. From there, you can Edit, Save and Print as needed.

Hi Patrick:

Please note that it would be possible to change under panel the settings of your C:/Drive and herein you can program as immediate the print options, as than you may be able to access a download of a rough data into excel and/or an sql.

Cheers :-)

The following is more for info than anything, but it my help someone figure out what the csv format includes:

The Export format for .CSV is as follows:

url,username,password,name,grouping,extra

Please note that not all are used for all logins.  Grouping and Extra are not used in most cases, but there are two commas behind the name for those subjects.

Thanks everyone...I was able to print my passwords. Is there a way to delete the Norton Identity Safe DAT files on my C drive?

Re: How can I make a copy of my online vault?

You can delete them but then you would not have a backup if you need it later. Is there some reason you want to delete them? The do not take much room and they cannot be read as they are encrypted by your Norton product. And if you add a password when you do the backup, they are protected even more.

You could transfer them to a thumb drive and then delete them if you want.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Thanks, @peterweb  The only reason I want to delete them is if my laptop is lost or stolen  If that were to happen,  would the DAT files remain safe?

Re: How can I make a copy of my online vault?

Excuse me for jumping in, but if you password protected your backup and your laptop was stolen, the thief would need to know the password before they could Import the backup file and with it encrypted, even if they managed to get it open they cold not read the file.
