How do I delete a Norton account from a dead computer?

My old computer recently died. That's okay, but the thing is that it had a subscription to auto-renew Norton, so now I'm basically paying Norton to renew a dead computer every year. How do I stop this?

I can't access my Norton details to disable the subscription because, like I said, the computer is dead. I can't access anything.

Hi, Chris. I assume you have replaced the computer, and are still using Norton ?

If so, you can sign in to your Norton Account, and under Devices, delete the old computer details.

Re: How do I delete a Norton account from a dead computer?

Thanks for the tip, but I bought a new computer which uses a different antivirus product (Mc****) so now I have no access to my old Norton account or any of my Norton passwords! That's the problem - I don't know how to tell Norton to stop billing me.

There seems to be no simple email address on any Norton website where I can request that they do so.

Ok, so you wish to stay with McAfee ? If so we can ask someone from Symantec to contact you.

If you want to continue with Norton, you would need to uninstall McAfee using that company's dedicated uninstall tool.

Let us know what you decide.

Yes, I wish to stay with McAfee as it is already pre-installed on my new computer.

Now I just need to deactivate Norton and stop it from billing me.

Thanks
