I use Windows XP and is slow, can I download Windows 10

As above, I have used Windows - XP for years and is very slow to the point that I cannot speed it up at all. So, I was wondering if there would be any point in downloading the Windows 10?

Thanks

If XP is slow on you current hardware, it is unlikely that Win 10 will be any better. If it installs at all.

Check the system requirements from Microsoft here.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

The only Windows 10 you can download is the current unfinished public beta known as Technical Preview, or at least it used to called that .....

It is not totally impossible that Windows 10 might just run better on a borderline XP machine because it has been designed to run successfully on tablets and other small devices. Most of them have a low powered CPU and "only" 2GB RAM and a very small hard drive by previous standards since that can get the manufacturer a free copy of Windows 10 (or it was so for Windows 8).

But it would be dangerous to assume this on a machine you depend on.

As said, begin by checking the requirements.

Once you have done this I would suggest posting here in the Tech Outpost Forum which is designed for computing problems not related to Norton Products .....
