Identity Safe

My Identity Safe Vault doesn't stay open for more than a few hours - I need to re-enter my vault password almost daily, and of course, every time I re-boot my computer. This didn't used to be the case a year or so ago. Is this evidence of a nefarious attack, or is this just a security "time out" feature update in the past year or so?

Re: Identity Safe

If you are using an online vault you can no longer remain logged in forever. This is a security feature so if you leave your computer unattended, you do not allow anyone access to your logins.

You can check the time that is set for before you need to sign in again. Open Identity Safe settings by clicking on the 3 dots on the Norton Toolbar. Then on the Security tab, see if you have selected the Close Vault after xxx minutes of inactivity. If so, this could be why you keep getting logged out. You can choose a longer time or choose another setting that suits your needs.

The first option shown in my image will only appear if you have a local vault.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Identity Safe

I'd had the same issue.  Thanks for the simple steps in solving this.
