Identity Safe

OK let see if any one listens. I contacted Norton concerning this ,but, for some reason they are not listening. I put Norton 360 Premier on a second computer, after install Indentity safe will not open. I am entering the password correct because Identity safe opens on the other computer. NO matter how many times I say this it opens on one of the computers but not on the other. They keep asking me if I am entering the password correctly. If I enter it on one and it opens and enter it on the other exactly the same it should open...

What can I do besides deleting or resetting Indentity Safe?

OK lets see if we can help.

Are you using a local or an online vault? You will only be able to access ID Safe from both computers with an online vault.

Are you logged into your Norton Account on the second computer? You will see "Logged in as " + your email address at the top right of the main 360 screen.

What versions of 360 Premier are you using on each computer? Click Support - About from the main 360 screen.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Identity Safe

Was there another security software on the second computer before you installed 360? Did you use the removal utility for that software to remove it?

BTW do not reset your vault unless you have a backup. Resetting wipes out all your data.

From the problem computer, try logging out of your Norton Account by clicking on your email address on the main Norton window, and click on Sign Out.

then, be sure you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.

Restart your computer, then open your browser and try to log into your ID Safe vault again. First you should be logging into your Norton Account, and then you will enter your vault password.

Re: Identity Safe

Had this problem myself once.

Trouble is that you only see Asterisks when typing in password.

So I opened 'Notepad' and typed in the password to check it was actually the password I wanted.

ie - uppercase or lowercase etc.

You can then copy/paste it into where it is required.

My problem was the keyboard had somehow changed from english/US to english/UK.

Don't suppose this will be your problem but it gives you a 100% certainty of what you are putting in.

You should not have to re enter the data. From the computer that can access your vault, open the vault and click on the gear icon at the bottom of the screen. Then click on the Import/Export tab and save your exported data, preferably to a thumb drive.

Then if you want to try resetting your vault, all you have to do is enter an incorrect password 3 times. Then click on the link to reset your vault. That will clear all your data and create a new vault and reset the password. Then you can go back to the same Import/Export tab and Import the data from your thumb drive.

Hopefully this helps.
