Identity Safe and Firefox

The lack of a fix for making Norton's Identity Safe available in Firefox has gone on way too long!  If a fix is not forthcoming in the next 60 days, I will not be renewing my Norton product. Please Norton fix this!

Re: Identity Safe and Firefox

Hello JCMcCarter

The latest Announcements about the Norton and Firefox Compatibility Issue said that there would be no significant updates over the next several months. Norton is working to get it fixed. I'm not sure if it will be done by then or not. I haven't seen any further updates to that Announcement. I have asked for further updates but they haven't given me any further update. They do recommend using a workaround. Most are either using IE for another password manager temporarily.

Thanks.

Re: Identity Safe and Firefox

Yes. I am using IE or Chrome when I have some heavy browsing with logins to do.  But I far prefer Firefox (Perhaps that is just because that is what I am used to. Getting older don't ya know!)

I certainly am not trying to badmouth Norton as I've used their products for many years (To the exclusion of less costly security solutions. Again, perhaps I feel committed to Norton because that is what I know and am used to.)  I just feel that for the amount of money that I've shelled out for Norton Security with Backup, that Norton should be more responsive to fixing a major shortfall with Firefox. I know that Norton didn't create the problem, but they OWE ME to fix it ASAP! At a minimum they could be more forthcoming about where they stand with the fix.

Anyway, thanks for the response to my post. I definitely will not renew my contract with Norton if this problem is not resolved. Norton may be the best but it is no way the only solution available.

Renew?

I paid Symantec to provide a complete package for an entire year.  My expectation is that if they stop providing a portion of that package at some point, then the end date of the subscription will be extended by a period equal to the lapse of time between when the service went down and when it came up again.

Hello

I'm sorry about any disruptions happening with you using Firefox and Norton Toolbar for Firefox..You can use any of the various workarounds that have been mentioned in the Announcements on top of the Forum. Any discussions about compensation would have to be done by you having a chat with Norton directly. This can't be discussed in the Forum. This is a user to user Forum. You can contact Norton by using the chat feature.
