identity safe and Firefox 43

Just wondering if there is any way to find out when Symantec to going to find a solution to Identity Safe not working on Firefox 43. It's been more than two months since they promised a solution 'soon'. chatting on line a few days ago, got me the same response. This is the first time Symantec seems to be having so much trouble fixing a problem. I download updates every day hoping the solution will come. I've been using Norton for a very long time and am now beginning to loose faith in their products.

Something to consider. If this had been an easy fix, and thanks to Mozilla it isn't, don't you think it would have been fixed months ago ?

I've flagged this reply as offensive:

This reply is offensive because it is clearly self-serving.  The initial post asked "when Symantec [is] going to find a solution" not "what Symantec is doing."  The response is puffery, not a solution or an answer to the question.

Re: identity safe and Firefox 43

I have read the related posts on this issue and fully understand that some 'problems' do take longer to fix. I spent my career in the computer industry and know very well how some programing problems can be difficult to resolve.

I'm working around the Identity Safe issue in Firefox by using Microsoft IE and sometimes Google Chrome. I don't care much for either.

There are certainly enough other very good services in Norton 360 to keep me a Symantec customer. It's just so annoying not being able to use software I've grown comfortable with.

Anyway, Happy New Year to all, especially the folks at Symantec.

respectfully perhaps, consider retain persistent login cookies for non-sensitive sites.  And / Or,
Use Firefox Password Manager with Master Password for Local Vault.
Use KeePass Password Safe with KeePass Plugins and Extensions for Local Vault.
Use LastPass Free with Multifactor Authentication Free for Online Vault.
FWIW ~ I'm comfortable with IDSafe but, prefer KeePass.  Cheers

Re: identity safe and Firefox 43

Thanks for the tip.

Unfortunately, my system recently crashed (as a result of allowing Windows to install updates automatically) and had to reinstall Windows and all of my software. As a result, stored Id's and passwords on Firefox were lost. I have found it easier to simply use IE and Identity Safe.

Use Moz Back-Up for FireFox. It saves and restores all your settings, extensions, plugins, bookmarks, and saved pass words. Good idea to transfer the back up file to a flash drive or external HDD. It's a free download that's been around for a long time.

Just search "Moz Back Up." and you will find lots of places to download it.

It has worked with all versions of FF including the latest 43.xxx

Flag away, pal. As a fellow USER NOT a Symantec employee, it was an opinion/comment which I am perfectly entitled to make.

Re: identity safe and Firefox 43

Any Updates from Norton when the Identity Safe will work again with Firefox?  Norton set the expectation in November 2015 that the solution would be available in "several months".  It has been almost 5 months already. Inquiring minds want to know  :-)
