Identity Safe with Edge causes slow browser keyboard input
I began noticing slow keyboard input in websites opened with Edge around the end of 2017 while having the Identity Safe extension installed. (Sorry, I don't remember the Identity Safe extension version or which version number of Windows 10 I had installed at that time.) After having used Chrome with Identity Safe for many months I decided to return to Edge just recently. After tinkering around and through a process of elimination I finally discovered the laggy and slow keyboard input in text boxes stopped when I turned off or uninstalled the Edge Identity Safe extension. When I turned it back on or reinstalled it, the laggy/slow text box input returned. Just like a toggle switch - night and day. It affects Amazon, Ars Technica, MSN, and many other websites with text input boxes. (Curiously it doesn't affect Bing or Google...)
I know I will get the answer to run Chrome to avoid the problem. I have done this, and it is fine but I am heavily integrated with the MS ecosystem rather than Google, and having to use Chrome to make Identity Safe work without essentially breaking the web experience is ridiculous.
There is a thread on Microsoft's forums about this as well (few replies so far):
I am currently running Windows 10 Pro v. 1803, OS Build 17134.228.
Identity Safe is Edge v. 18.104.22.168
Edge version is 42.17134.1.0 EdgeHTML 17.17134
