Identity Safe issue

Hi guys,

I just installed Norton Security on a new computer. But when I try to activate Identity Safe, I get a weird Read message. "The instruction at 0x000000005F6A5C29 referenced memory at 0x0000000000001240. The memory could not be read."

Anyone got an idea? :(

Thank you!

Kind regards

Jonathan

Is this forum dead or something? No idea why I don't have any responses yet. Doesn't Norton monitor these forums to help customers?

Re: Identity Safe issue

Since, you mention new computer.  Have you properly removed per vendor instruction pre-installed Trial Security program prior to Norton Security install.
Please confirm Norton Security version > 22.7.0.76

Re: Identity Safe issue

Hi, thanks for the reply!

It was a build pc from scratch, so I had no trials installed.

That is indeed the version I am using.

Kind regards,

Jonathan

Re: Identity Safe issue

Sorry, read message is unknown to me.  Presume you've setup default browser as Internet Explorer (other than Edge).

Re: Identity Safe issue

Hmm, well if Norton runs as normal otherwise.  Can you try thru Internet Explorer.
Presume you can access your Norton account and presume you're trying to setup embedded Norton Identity Safe.  Can you access Identity Safe thru product.  Can you Sign In here > https://identitysafe.norton.com/

Re: Identity Safe issue

Hello Jonathan

Can you please turn off Fast Startup. Norton and many other programs need a proper startup which doesn't use the hybrid startup.

Here is a link for turning off Fast Startup in Windows 10

Hope it helps.

Thanks.
