Identity Safe Issue

I recently purchased a new HP laptop that is running Windows 10. I installed Norton Security Premium on the new laptop and everything is working except Identity Safe. I login into Identity Safe and I do not see any of my previous logins. I tried to manually add them and get a message saying a login with that "the provided user name already exists for this site, please use another user name."

I am currently surfing with Chrome; it is up to date. I also enabled the extensions for Norton on Chrome. I have no idea what I am doing wrong here or how to correct the problem? Any help would be appreciated as I rely on Identity Safe for Auto-fill and remembering my passwords.

Re: Identity Safe Issue

Norton downloaded an update that totally hosed the Password manager (and I hope nothing else).  I was on support chat for 2 hours, I could see the file on 1 computer but not on the second, and not a complete file on my Ipad.  They fixed the issue on the computers but wanted to call me back at a later date/time to resolve the ipad issue.  Since I wasn't willing to sit back and wait on a call and invest another couple of hours (I've got other things to do) I told them no thanks!!  I'll resolve the issue by finding another vendor for password control and computer protection since this product has decidedly gone downhill and I've lost complete trust in them.  They wouldn't even refund the money. spent!!  Bye Bye Norton/Symantec!!!

Norton products (including subscriptions and Automatic Renewals) may be refunded within 60 days of the purchase date. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20100512172507

Re: Identity Safe Issue

Running Identity Safe in Chrome.  Most of the time the Norton Toolbar does not appear and consequently the Identity Safe Vault icon does not appear, making it inaccessible and useless.  More than once I have invested a lot of time while Norton support staff were supposedly fixing the problem, only to have the problem recur later.

Re: Identity Safe Issue

I have been a Norton customer for many years but I am almost certain when my subscription expires this December, I will not be renewing. To me personally, Identity Safe was one of the main factors for using Norton and not any other product. Now that it doesn't seem to work with Windows 10, I will start shopping for another product that has something similar that actually works.

Most users purchase a security suite for the malware protection. This one feature may cause issues for many users, but there are alternatives to Norton's password manager, that will still allow you to take advantage of the security provided by the Norton Products.

As always, the decision is yours. Good luck with your decision.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: Identity Safe Issue

I do depend on my Norton for malware protection. I am also not used to paying for a product that says it has several features and later finding not all of them work. I would much prefer to purchase a product that does what it says it can do, not just some of what it says it can do.
