Identity Safe Qs

Rather than make assumptions, I'd like to ask some questions on how Identity Safe encrypts vaults, passwords and handles keys.  If there is a document available, I'd be happy to read it.  I could not find one.

1) How are individual passwords and entire vault contents encrypted/decrypted (algorithm)?

2) Where does this take place (e.g. encrypted at client, sync'd to cloud, decrypted on client)

3) What key is used to encrypt the vault content and who has access to that key?

Re: Identity Safe Qs

Someone told me this:

"Periodic SAS 70 Type II Certified, PCI-compliant security, and penetration tests are conducted. Your Identity Safe data is encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption and it can only be accessed through your Norton Account and your vault password."

<EDIT>  You may find some this information useful:

Re: Identity Safe Qs

Hello

Symantec does not store your Vault password. As

only you know the vault password, no one including

Symantec can see your Vault data. In case you

forget your Vault password, Symantec cannot

retrieve it for you. You only need to reset your vault

by deleting your existing Vault and creating a new

one. In such cases, we use your Norton account

password to validate your request to delete your

Vault

The above quoted from page 205 of the Norton Security Product Manual. The above gives you some information about the Vault password.

Thanks.
