Identity Safe - question on moving from local storage to cloud - where is password encrypted?

Hi I've been using identity safe as part of NIS or 360 for years. Always with local storage. Until recently, all my computers were Windows based so I could export/import the password vault from my master computer to the other computers. Now I've got an android tablet, so I've been thinking of keeping my passwords in the cloud.

My question and concern is where does the password encryption occur. When I create a new password, is it first encrypted locally and then sent to the cloud encrypted? Or is it sent clear text over an encrypted HTTPS connection and then encrypted once it is stored in the cloud.

LastPass says the use the former method and this does sound better. Or is it not that big a feature if you're using HTTPS?

All data  is encrypted locally before it is transmitted to the online vault.  Please see the following post:
